The customer request:
The difficulty here was to develop a gutter system which allows water to flow away also on straight surfaces at the edges / junctions of a
modular set up. To guarante a non penetration of the water in the interior part of the tent through this junctions and to avoid a water drain cause trouble to every tent producer and was therefore a vehement challenge for MASTERTENT.
The MASTERTENTsolution:
MASTERTENT could take up this challenge thanks to his own technical department and own production. First of all, it had to be clarified with the customer how they wanted to set up the tents (see example). At the point where the edges join up, a “junction” of the gutters was produced so that the water could in all directions flow outwards and let the inner part of the tents remain dry. Despite the technical elaborated production we succeeded in keeping the assembly simple maintaining also in this MASTERTENT accessoir the user-friendliness. In the pictures below we shortly explain you the assembly (192 m
2 - 9 tents, each of 8x4 m): First of all the 9 tents get mounted as desired (picture 1). Then the main rain gutter (picture 2) gets fixed on the tent through a hook and loop fastener (picture 3). This gutter covers the whole length of 24 m. For the lateral water outlet the other rain gutters get incorporated in the main rain gutter (picture 4). As a result, it emerges the junciton (picture 5 - 6) which guarantee that the camp remains dry. The complete rainwater is drained through the 6 water outlets (picture 7) outside of the tents.
