Soliman’s
Dream
An emotional journey through a dream world.
Not so far away from our headquarters in Italy, the “Hofburg” in Brixen/Bressanone turns into a unique and breath-taking light and music show. Soliman’s Dream, a fascinating story of the elephant which undertakes an emotional journey through a dream world, takes place for the second time at Brixen/Bressanone, after the great success in 2015.
Even though the story about the elephant in Brixen/Bressanone is quite unbelievable - it is true. The story is historically attested: The elephant “Soliman” was a gift from the King of Portugal, John III, to his nephew, the archduke Maximilian of Austria. Soliman was shipped from Portugal to Genoa. Afterwards, the elephant and its entourage crossed the Alps by foot. Shortly before Christmas in 1551, they arrived at Brixen/Bressanone where they stopped for 14 days. The Soliman’s local host later called his hostel "Am Hellephanten” and created a fresco on the hostel’s external wall. Soliman arrived at Vienna in May 1552 and died one year later.
Mastertent produced a magical canopy tent
For this special occasion, Mastertent turned a canopy tent into a breathtaking eye-catcher. It can be marveled at the “Hofburg” at Brixen/Bressanone, where the fascinating music and light show will be shown daily from 24th November 2016 till 8th January 2017.
